I wanted to join a dating service to help me out with my very lacking social life but I never figured that it would be so expensive to do so. I went online and checked out a few places and I also went into my yellow pages and found a few here in the city that were even more outrageously priced that those that were online. I guess I am just not rich enough to be a member of a dating service so I guess I will have to find myself an alternative method of meeting some women. I work a lot of hours and when I am finally off the last thing that I want to do is go home and get ready for a night out at the bars and clubs the way my colleagues do, I don't know if it's because they are younger than me and have more energy but I have never really liked that scene anyways even when I was younger and especially not now that I look like every one's older uncle or maybe even grandfather.

So an alternative to a dating service could maybe be an online dating site though its not the same thing. A dating service offers more service and you really don't have to do anything but sign up and pay and they get to do all of the matching and searching for you. With online dating I think I will have to be more pro active and with my limited time it might take me longer but I guess I might as well do it and soon because I have not been on a date in over 4 months now.

The last date I went on was with the very sweet sister of a friend of mine from school. She came in to the city for a mini vacation and I was sent off to show her a romantic night on the town. It was a very nice dinner, at my favorite restaurant full of candle light and the soft whisper of romantic music. We also did a carriage ride and stopped of for a midnight cup of hot chocolate but then she went back home two days later and I never heard from her again. So I am looking for that same type of thing but with a girl who lives here and can spend my free time enjoying the city with me and having fun. I will join a dating sitetonightand get started on finding that girl right away.
